How I Work
Taxes can feel stressful, especially when you’re an expat. It’s my goal to make the process as easy as possible.
No Appointment Necessary
I prefer to work remotely on tax returns because it gives me time to concentrate solely on your return and not be rushed within in the confines of a set appointment. That being said, I know that taxes cause a certain amount of anxiety (totally normal!), and you want to know the results quickly.
That’s why I’ve set up the following system:
You choose the week you want your US tax return completed (including federal, state—if necessary, and FBAR—if necessary).
You send me your documents, via a secure link that I will provide, by Monday of that week.
I will work on your return and contact you with any questions during the week. Your only job is to answer those questions in a timely manner.
I will send you your return by Friday of that same week and invoice you.
Once that invoice is paid, I will e-file you, and you’re all set until the following year.
Features of My Process
-
I know your tax documents have sensitive financial information on them. That’s why I use an upload system with a secure, encrypted link and storage. All documents will be stored on encrypted drives.
-
All communication will be through encrypted email service. If you would prefer a phone call, I’m happy to do that too.
-
You can take the time you need to review your tax return and ask questions about it. I will never e-file your return until I have your signature.
-
Once you’ve reviewed and approved the return, I will send you an invoice for my tax services. Once the invoice is paid, I will e-file your US federal tax return, and the state and FBAR if needed.
